FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to filtration. Filtering element comprises unpleated tubular ring of bulk material its depth making about 1/4 cm and containing bearing and thin fibres. Thin fibres are made of polymer material. Said bearing fibres feature mean size of about over 600 nm. Thin fibres feature mean size under 800 nm and rest on said bearing fibres. Thin fibre size is at least four times smaller than that of bearing fibres. Several plies of thin fibres are located over the depth of bulk material. The latter is filled with thin fibres extending in depth for at least 0.1 g/m2 and at least about 10000 km/m2. Method of filtering element fabrication comprises the steps that follow. Voltage-difference electric braiding is used to produce from the solution of polymer and solvent aforesaid thin polymer fibres. Said thin fibres are applied on substrate of bearing fibres. Said substrate of bearing fibres and thin fibres are wound to make said bulk material.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of filtration.
