FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used for production of stainless martensitic steel. Before the stage of electroslag remelting the ingot is subjected to degassing in vacuum in liquid metal condition within the time period sufficient to get the content of hydrogen in the named ingot after the named stage of electroslag remelting less than 3 ppm.
EFFECT: invention allows to reduce dispersion of fatigue behaviour of stainless martensitic steels and to improve their average fatigue state.
