FIELD: physics, optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to investigation of properties of a substance with optical means and a Raman scatter analyser. The analyser includes an optical beam splitter, an atomic vapour filter, a chopper and a photodetector. The beam splitter splits light emitted by a Raman scatter cell into two beams. The atomic vapour filter removes the Raman scatter line from the first beam. The chopper periodically interrupts the first and second beam directed towards the photodetector, which converts light from the first and second beams into an electrical signal.
EFFECT: high sensitivity of the device, shorter integration time and enabling operation at high ambient pressure.
