FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for rehabilitating school-aged children suffering vegetative dystonia syndrome (VDS). A risk of developing VDS is identified by calculating a total score of vegetative disorder criteria. A group of school-aged children having the total score from 1 to 25 points are included in a VDS risk group. The above group is examined. Blood pressure is measured; a fitness and health level is assessed; symptoms of asthenovegetative dysfunction and symptoms of cardiovascular dysfunction are detected. If the total score is from 1 to 20, mild signs of VDS are stated. The above disease is corrected by performing rehabilitation measures. If the total score is from 21 to 30, a pronounced nature of VDS is detected. That requires performing rehabilitation measures and physiotherapeutic procedures. The school-aged children having more than 30 points are considered to have a severe course of VDS and referred to an out-patient treatment.
EFFECT: method enables the simple and accessible detection at the early stages of VDS development, eliminating psychological reasons and improving a cardiorespiratory functionality in the school-aged children by the integrated assessment and selection of the most optimum parameters.
