FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of conversion of hydrocarbon mixture, containing large concentration of non-equilibrium aromatic C8 compounds and inconsiderable concentration of non-aromatic compounds. Conversion is realised by contact of mixture with double catalyst system, including first catalyst, containing tungsten component, and second catalyst, containing from 0.01 to 0.2 wt %, counted per element, at least, of one metal of platinum group, under conditions of hydrocarbon conversion, including temperature from 300° to 550°C, pressure from 100 kPa to 5 MPa and hour volume liquid rate from 0.5 to 50 h-1 relative to double catalyst system, with obtaining converted product, containing lower concentration of ethylbenzene and lower concentration of non-aromatic compounds than concentration in raw material mixture.
EFFECT: highly pure product.
