FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: fabrication of hollow part for vehicle composed by jointing of preformed elements from sheet material. This process comprises drilling of the first bore by pressing of spinning drill to one of said elements of sheet material for thermal drilling to make the first circular ledge ay the bore inner surface. Drill is withdrawn from made bore to drill second bore at the other element at the point opposite said bore. Spinning drill is pressed for thermal drilling to the other element in direction perpendicular to the surface of said other element. Besides, this is performed in internal direction to make another circular ledge and to make cylindrical connecting element by fusing of said second and first circular ledges. Invention covers also the hollow part for vehicle and device for its fabrication.
EFFECT: higher strength, lower costs and good working conditions.
