SUBSTANCE: invention relates to digital signal processing. A digital video stabilisation method comprises steps of analysing a computing device to determine availability of any of different digital signal processing (DSP) multimedia components; determining which available DSP multimedia component to use for at least one digital video stabilisation part, wherein digital video stabilisation includes at least estimating local motion vectors, processing the local motion vector estimates for calculating global motion transformation, image deformation based on the global motion transformation for video vibration compensation; performing digital video stabilisation with respect to a video segment on the computing device using said determined available DSP multimedia component for said at least one digital video stabilisation part.
EFFECT: facilitating digital video stabilisation.
