FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises a tested frequency converter, a heterodyne, a generator of test signals, a reference frequency converter. Additionally the device comprises a controlled phase changer, a control device, the first and second phase changers, the first and second synchronous detectors, a meter of time intervals. The output of the generator of test signals is simultaneously connected with the first input of the reference frequency converter, to the first input of the first synchronous detector and with the first input of the controlled phase changer. The second input of which is connected to the output of the control device. The output of the controlled phase changer is simultaneously connected to the input of the first phase changer and the first input of the tested frequency converter, the output of which is connected to the input of the second phase changer. The second input of the tested frequency converter is connected simultaneously to the output of the heterodyne and to the second input of the reference frequency converter, the output of which is connected to the first input of the second synchronous detector. At the same time outputs of the first and second phase changers are connected to the second inputs of the first and second synchronous detectors, accordingly. Outputs of the first and second synchronous detectors are connected to the first and second inputs of the meter of time intervals, accordingly.

EFFECT: expansion of frequency range, where measurements may be performed, and increased accuracy of measurement of a group time of delay for frequency converters with intermediate frequency in the microwave range.
