FIELD: measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio measuring equipment and can be used in measuring complex transfer coefficients and reflection of microwave devices with frequency conversion (microwave mixers). Device for measuring complex transmission coefficients of microwave mixers includes a vector network analyser (ACV) with first, second, third and fourth ports, as well as microwave heterodyne, matched load, tested microwave mixer, first reference microwave mixers, first, second and third switches. In addition, the second reference microwave mixer, intermediate frequency amplifier, fixed and tunable attenuators are introduced. Connections between newly introduced and common elements enable to use it at transition from one measurement to another by means of switching at intermediate frequency due to use of four-port vector analyzer of circuits. Required complex transmission coefficient of the tested microwave mixer is calculated by formula: where Σ1 is the transmission coefficient of the test and first reference microwave mixers; Σ2 - complex transfer coefficient of tested and second reference microwave mixers; Σ3 is the total complex transmission coefficient of the first and the second reference microwave mixers.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining complex transmission coefficients of microwave mixers, as well as simplifying the measurement process.
