SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of pharmaceutics and represents method of screening agent, suitable for treatment of dry eye syndrome and/or injury of cornea and conjunctiva with syndrome of dry eye of 3 and higher degree, which includes preparation of rabbit model of cornea and conjunctiva injury by abrasion of cornea and conjunctiva epithelium by installation of n-heptanol solution in rabbits eye; and introduction of tested agent in rabbit-model eye and evaluation of cornea tissue restoration effect under the influence of tested agent, in which applied volume of n-heptanol solution constitutes only from 00.3 to 0.05 ml, which is dropped 2-4 times, and in which rabbit is made to blink 2-4 times, at which stage of preparation additionally included is making rabbit close the eye for the period from nearly 1 to nearly 3 minutes after installation of n-heptanol solution in eye.
