FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of O-rings installation in equipment, in particular in main circulation units operating in independent one-piece reactor plants with liquid-metal coolant - lead. The method of O-rings installation is characterised in that on the O-rings locked after cooling in the appropriate grooves the safety bushing is installed. The safety bushing is made with internal diameter below or equal to outside diameter of the seat, it is locked against radial movement by pins, secured on the safety bushing, for example by welding, and entering the longitudinal slots of the item. The O-rings are installed in seat to prevent against the safety bushing axial movement in the longitudinal slots of the item relatively to the stop made above the O-rings installation.
EFFECT: invention is directed on exclusion of the mechanical effects on the O-rings installed on the item during transportation and storage.
