FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: frame is shaped of a superficially porous titanium nickelide wire 0.3-0.6 mm in diameter, by an anticipated size of the mid-face bone defect according to a pre-operative planning of the extent of resection. A braid cellular titanium nickelide fabric is attached on the custom-made wire frame by means of a titanium nickelide filament 40-60 mcm in diameter. An implant is mounted on the preserved bone structures and reinforced with titanium screws.
EFFECT: method enables maintaining the natural position and function of the eyeball, promotes maintaining the physiological position of the mid-face soft tissues and reducing the operation length.
