FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine. Described is a haemostatic composite structure, which has a biologically absorbable woven or non-woven substrate, which has at least two main opposite areas of the surface and an integral non-porous polymer film, applied on one basic surface of the said substrate. The biologically absorbable woven substrate can consist of an oxidised polysaccharide, and the non-woven substrate can consist of biologically absorbable non-cellulose derivatives of polymers. The integral non-porous polymer film can consist of a biologically absorbable polymer. Described is a method of providing haemostasis by the application of the composite structure.
EFFECT: composite structure provides effective haemostasis, ie makes it possible to reduce the time for attaining haemostasis.
