FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to haemostatic material containing compressed oxidised regenerated cellulose (ORC) powder obtained by roller compaction. ORC powder has average proportionality coefficient of 1 to 18, particle size greater than 180 mcm and bulk density after compaction of at least 0.44 g/cm3. Present invention further relates to a method for producing a haemostatic material, a haemostatic paste and a method of treating a wound by applying haemostatic powder on the patient's wound and/or into it.
EFFECT: oxidised regenerated cellulose powder according to the invention is characterized by good adjacency, fluidity along tissue and provides satisfactory arrangement of powder during surgical interventions.
