VESSEL PROPULSIVE UNIT Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC B63H11/00 B63H23/24 B63H5/125

Abstract RU 2565441 C1

FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: claimed unit comprises shell (1), motor (3), closed fluid cooling system (9) with inner chamber (10). The latter contains fluid and is partially confined by cylindrical outer surface of cylindrical section (7) of propulsive unit engine section (6) for heat exchange between motor (3) arranged in cylindrical section (7) of engine section (6) and fluid in said inner space (10). Said inner space (10) of said system (9) is partially confined by propulsive unit shell (1) so that fluid in said space (10) directly contacts with shell (1) for heat exchange between inner space fluid and water. Water surrounds said propulsive unit (1) via its shell.

EFFECT: efficient cooling of propulsive unit.
