FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding, namely to ship propulsion, mainly to ship propulsion and steering columns. The electric propulsion and steering column contain a steering module, a propulsion module, including a nacelle, with an electric motor located in it, containing a rotor and a stator, with a propeller shaft on which a propeller is installed, an electric motor cooling system, consisting of an air-cooling unit including air coolers and fans. In this case, the rotor of the electric motor is cooled by air, which is supplied from the ends of the engine and, passing through the radial channels of the rotor, is cooled in air coolers, and the cooling of the stator of the electric motor is carried out by sea water, except for the sector not washed by water, the air passing through the radial channels of the stator moves along the back core and leaves the stator in the area of the sector not cooled by water. In this case, the air-cooling unit is installed in the housing of the steering module on the non-rotating part. The stator core of the electric motor is made with a cross-section along the radial ventilation duct. The propeller drive motor can be synchronous or asynchronous.
EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of cooling the propeller drive electric motor and reducing the dimensions of the electric propulsion and steering column.
