METHOD OF ASSEMBLAGE OF GAS DUCT WITH ELASTIC HINGE JOINT Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC F16L59/00

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: flexible gas duct comprises moving telescopic assembly made up of metal shells jointed with seal ring over cylindrical surfaces, and elastic hinge joint. Method of assemblage is based on flange joint of metal shells from one side and telescopic joint at another side. Initially the gas duct is secured against radial and axial movements by the end face rests, and axial load is applied. This ensures immobility of the elastic hinge joint, and prevents is destruction at the assemblage stage. Then the gas duct is connected with telescopic counter-assembly, and at the opposite side with counter-flange assembly. Then leak tests of the gas duct are performed, and axial force is removed.

EFFECT: development of the assembly method of gas duct, under which destruction of the elastic hinge joint is excluded thus increasing the operation reliability of the gas duct.
