METHOD FOR SIMULATING INTESTINAL YERSINIOSIS IN EXPERIMENTAL ANIMALS Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC G09B23/28

Abstract RU 2566188 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves a number of stages. The strain Yersinia enterocolitica is grown at temperature 24-26°C on Hottinger's agar. The prepared culture is suspended in sodium chloride and combined with 0.2% Noble agar in ratio 1:1. The suspension contains 3×108 microbial cells Y. Enterocolitica. The suspension is administered into guinea pig intraperitoneally in an amount of 0.5 ml. The animals are killed five days later and opened; smears from mesenteric lymph nodes are impressed, and a subculture is recovered. The experimental animals are contaminated with the subculture. Before the contamination, their gastric acidity is reduced by oral administration of 7.5% edible soda in an amount of 0.1 ml into white mice, and 0.5 ml into guinea pigs. The contamination is oral. That involves administering 3×109 microbial cells diluted in normal saline 0.2 ml into white mice, and 3×109 microbial cells diluted in normal saline 0.5 ml into guinea pigs. Intestinal yersiniosis is stated by PCR after Hottinger's agar inoculation (pH 7.2) with internal organs.

EFFECT: complete reproduction of pathogenetic mechanisms of the disease experimentally.
