FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to experimental medicine, and can be used for simulating BLV infection in experimental animals. Intraperitoneal introduction of freshly prepared fraction of BLV-infected cattle blood mononuclear cells to 5–6-month-old Wistar rats is carried out. Freshly obtained sterile stabilized K3 EDTA whole BLV-infected bovine blood is centrifuged at 1000 rpm at 25 °C for 10 minutes. Ring of mononuclears formed between plasma and erythrocytes is selected by means of a sterile syringe, diluted with sterile saline according to the McFarland turbidity standard (R092B standard 1 unit) and administered to rats twice weekly every 0.5 ml. Infection control is carried out by PCR method with blood of experimental animals.

EFFECT: method enables the minimally invasive, fast reproducible, highly effective, easily controlled modeling of BLV infection in rats by obtaining a biologically pure concentrate, containing an infectious form of an enzootic leucosis isolator of cattle, and its application for simulating BLV-infection in laboratory animals with subsequent control of infection.
