FIELD: nuclear power engineering. SUBSTANCE: control element drive of nuclear reactor has motor, reduction gear, actuating element, box accommodating freewheel clutch that has shell 15 joined with box through flexible member which is essentially flexible coupling one of whose half-couplings is fixed on shell 15 and the other 20, on box 16; both half-couplings mount relatively engageable components free to move relative to one other in circular and axial directions. Components of one of half-couplings are axially spring-loaded. Coupling has stops limiting movement of springs. Components are balls 19, 22 installed over circumference of half-couplings in seats 18 and 21. Half-coupling 20 carries spring-loaded pushers 23, 24 engageable with balls; pusher stroke is shorter than overlapping length of balls.
