FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a suspension apparatus and to its work method. The suspension apparatus operation method includes supply of one or more gaseous reagents into a suspension of solid particles suspended in the suspension liquid in a vessel with free space above the suspension; the said one or more gaseous reagents are supplied into the suspension (through the gas distribution unit that has gas outlets directed downwards) and onto the baffler that is impermeable for liquid; the baffler occludes the vessel below the gas distribution unit and divides the vessel into the suspension volume (over the baffle) and the bottom volume (below the baffle); the method also involves maintenance of a differential pressure over the baffle within the preset limits by way of adjusting pressure in the bottom volume or letting it change with the help of the pressure transfer channel establishing a flow or connection of pressures between the bottom volume and the free space above the suspension.

EFFECT: invention allows to minimise the uncooled volume occupied by the gas distribution device and the uncooled volume below the gas distribution device, inhibits and prevents catalyst settlement and sedimentation and enables a reliable and simple mechanical design.
