FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: radio signal spectral analysis method comprises converting a radio signal into an acoustic wave propagating in a transparent acoustic line which is irradiated with a collimated laser beam; performing spatial Fourier transform of light transmitted through the acoustic line; selecting light of the first diffraction order, the intensity distribution in which is converted by a single photodetector into an electrical signal for subsequent processing in a digital processor, wherein the laser radiation is tuned at a frequency over time according to a law which provides undistorted reproduction of the spectral panorama, specifically ν(t)=νc+γ(t-0.5T), where νc is the centre frequency, γ, T are the tuning speed and time, respectively.
EFFECT: high output signal-to-noise ratio and accuracy of measuring frequency.
