FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to test equipment, namely to methods for conductance of one-directional wear tests by a dynamic method for determination of mechanical durability of ball hinges of the front suspension of a passenger car. The method consists in the fact that a load on a tent-shaped hinge is changed in a certain number of cycles. Besides, activation and deactivation of a side hydraulic cylinder is performed additionally at certain intervals. The test method is performed in the following way: pressure in the hydraulic system is 1.2 mPa for the first 50 thousand cycles; the side hydraulic cylinder is activated additionally for the next 50 thousand cycles. Then, the hinge is removed and its serviceability and wear is checked. Then, pressure is raised up to 1.5 mPa and additionally, 25 thousand cycles are performed; then, the side hydraulic cylinder is activated for additional 25 thousand cycles. After that, the hinge is removed again and checked. At the third test step, pressure is raised up to 1.8 mPa and 25 thousand load cycles are performed. Then, the side hydraulic cylinder is connected for 25 thousand cycles. After that, the hinge is removed and checked. Then, the experiment is repeated from the very beginning till total operation time of 1 mln cycles is achieved.
EFFECT: easier tests of ball hinges of the front suspension of the passenger car; maximum approximation of tests to actual operating conditions and reduction of test time.
