FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: in the method for measuring level of dielectric substance a capacitance level sensor and compensating capacitor are used and sinusoidal voltage of two frequencies is supplied in sequence to them. Currents of the capacitance level sensor and compensating capacitor are measured at the above frequencies. Against current value capacitance growth of the capacitance level sensor is assessed as well as relative value of level in dielectric fluid filling interelectrode space of the sensor.

EFFECT: improved accuracy in measurement of dielectric substance level, increased degree of the measurement process automation and maintainability due to recording of current value of dielectric permeability for the controlled substance as determined directly in process of measurement.
