SUBSTANCE: invention refers to a scanning parameter determination technique. A calculating device comprises : a processor measuring at least one scanning parameter of scan protocol specified for scanning an object by means of an imaging system on the basis of the scanning parameter determination technique, and generating a signal specifying if the scanning parameter complies with the scanning parameter determination technique; the scanning parameter determination technique involves one of the following techniques: an exposure dosage technique based on the exposure to ionising radiation, a determination technique based on a contrast medium or a determination technique based on the image quality.
EFFECT: reducing the patient's exposure dose.
