SUBSTANCE: invention relates to modification of caprolactam production alkaline waste (CPAW) for application as independent product or in composition of solutions and mixtures, applied at reduced temperatures (lower than 0°C), for example, as: antifreeze, anti-icing agent, deicing means, means against freezing-on, adhesion, dusting and blowing-out, anticaking, preventive greasing, etc. Method for modification of caprolactam production alkaline waste consists in its processing by acid or their mixture or water solution of acid or their mixture to value pH = 4-9.

EFFECT: creation of technologically simple, cheap method of CPAW modification, as well as solution for application at reduced temperatures with high exploitation characteristics: low pour point to minus 35-70°C and low viscosity in long exploitation at reduced temperatures and stability of characteristics under conditions of long exposure to low temperatures.
