FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to composition for application in electric and heat insulator, which contains, at least, one thermoplastic polyurethane polymer and fireproof composition. Fireproof composition contains i) particles of, at least, one metal or metalloid oxide, selected from magnesium oxide, silicon dioxide or aluminium oxide in quantity from 1 to 8 wt % counted per 100 wt % of fireproof composition; ii) at least, one phosphate component, selected from the group, which includes ammonium polyphosphate (APP), melaminephosphate, melaminepyrophosphate and melaminepolyphosphate or their mixture in quantity from 25 to 85 wt % counted per 100 wt % of fireproof composition, and iii) at least, one phosphoric acid ester, corresponding to structural formula in quantity from 10 to 70 wt % counted per 100 wt % of fireproof composition. Also described is application of composition as heat or electric insulator as coating of electrical conductors, which are applied in wires and/or cables, and application of fireproof composition as component of thermoplastic polyurethane polymer.

EFFECT: provision of composition, containing thermoplastic polyurethane, characterised by lower tendency to dripping or non-dripping in case of fire presence and possessing excellent fireproof properties.
