FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to metrology, in particular, to voltage measurement devices. A high voltage sensor comprises an insulator, passing along the axial direction between the first and second contact points, multiple conducting electrodes arranged in the above insulator, besides, the specified electrodes are mutually separated by the specified insulating material and are connected to each other with a capacitance link. At the same time some specified electrodes are overlapped with other electrodes along the axis, besides, the specified electrodes are arranged so that electric field is created in the specified cavity of the sensor, having average field intensity, larger than the specified voltage divided into the distance between the specified first and specified second contact points. Electrodes form a capacitance divider and are arranged symmetrically relative to the plane of reference and are embedded into the insulator material, having various dielectric constants at both sides of the plane of reference. The sensor also comprises an electro-optical device with a crystal depending on the field by double refraction or a polarized waveguide, demonstrating Pockels effect, or a piezoelectric device and a wave guide, the wave guide length of which depends on the field.
