The image forming device forms a composite image based on a left eye image and a right eye image. The image forming device also calculates a position shift value for the left eye image relative to the position of the composite image as a parallax value and stores information relating to the parallax value as a parallax map.

EFFECT: image forming device forms a left eye image and a right eye image to be displayed by shifting the object contained in the composite image to a position corresponding to the parallax value indicated by the parallax map.
