FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of obtaining isobutylene from tert-butanol-containing fraction by dehydration at temperature 90-120°C and pressure 1-3 kgf/cm2 on layer of sulphocation catalyst with supply of tert-butanol-containing fraction into upper part of rectification zone of rectification-reaction dehydrator with its further supply in form of steam flow into reaction part of dehydrator, output to condensation of vaporous reaction products, separation of isobutylene and return of condensed tert-butanol-containing fraction into reaction part of dehydrator. Method is chracterised by the fact that initial and return tert-butanol-containing fraction is supplied in form of steam flows from the top of dehydrator reaction zone, isobutylene-containing vaporous reaction products are output from lower part of reaction zone, and liquid reaction products are supplied into rectification zone of dehydrator on tray, placed below feeding tray.
EFFECT: application of claimed method makes it possible to increase specific productivity by isobutylene counted per catalyst weight unit.
