FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to an enhanced-echogenicity interventional device comprising a device having an outer surface, and a coating of molten polymeric particles covering at least a portion of the outer surface of the above device; the coating of molten polymeric particles contains molten fluoropolymeric particles that are at least partially interconnected, and provides an irregular surface topography on the outer surface of the device; and to a method for enhancing the echogenicity of the interventional device.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides achieving the higher echogenicity of the device and makes it possible to visualise a unique surface pattern of a particular device.
