FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing material for producing a light-correcting polymer film, which can be used in agriculture, in production of screens and monitors and in other engineering fields. The method includes dissolving and mixing a thermoplastic polymer, paraffin hydrocarbons and a fluorescent additive using organic solvents. As the fluorescent additive quantum dots with a given effective band gap are used. The effective band gap of the quantum dots is in the range of 0.1 to 1.5 eV. The solution is mixed at 60-80°C. In order to obtain a precipitate, temperature of the solution is lowered to 35-45°C, wherein the precipitant used is a mixture of organic solvents. In order to reduce toxicity of the disclosed method further when producing the material, the unloaded precipitate is dried while removing the precipitant, which is then trapped and returned to the solution.
EFFECT: low toxicity of the method of producing material using quantum dots, high photo-stability of the light-correcting film and high efficiency of converting natural light.
