FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: glass feeder is moulded in vacuum conditions and comprises an orifice plate and current leads which are solid-cast, which prevents formation of microcracks. The current leads are positioned at an angle of 130° to the plane of the orifice plate. The glass feeder is made of a cast chromium alloy with the following ratio of components, wt %: chromium - 60-65%; phosphorus - 0.012-0.024%; sulphur - 0.001-0.004%; carbon - 0.02-0.05%; silicon - 0.01-0.06%; aluminium - 0.1-0.8%; iron - the balance.
EFFECT: longer service life of the feeder and low cost thereof.
