FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrode system for gas-electric furnaces, intended for production of fibres from rocks, mainly basalt. Electrode (7) is made from heat-resistant high-chromium alloy in form of one-piece segments with threaded flange (9) on one side and threaded socket (10) on other side, is installed with gap inside cooled electrode holder (2) made as “pipe-in-pipe”. Device is equipped with feed tubes (3) and outlet (4) of coolant. Electrode (7) is equipped with removable pin-conductor (8). Segments electrode increase as combustion without stopping production cycle.
EFFECT: due to electrode of heat-resistant high-chromium alloy, at claimed component ratio, increased service life of electrode.
