FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to grinding and may be used for grinding of curvilinear surfaces by lobed grinding wheels. Several holders with different-size lobed wheels are arranged inside capstan head housing for any wheel to be used in turns. Head housing is arranged at fixed pivot shaft supporting the bracket accommodating the head turn drive. head positioning drive and lobed wheel drive. Lobed wheel drive is provided with half-coupling for automatic engagement with half-coupling of the next lobed wheel holder.
EFFECT: accelerated processing, higher quality of curvilinear surface owing to uniform removal of material.
