SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of polymers for personal hygiene agents or household chemicals. The disclosed modified polygalactomannan includes cationic polygalactomannan with water-soluble or water-insoluble fractions. The water-insoluble fraction is in amount of 0.4-3 wt % with respect to the weight of polygalactomannan. Said water-insoluble fraction of said modified polygalactomannan provides clarity of 1 wt % of its aqueous solution of less than 60% light transmittance at wavelength 600 nm, and in a surfactant system provides clarity greater than 80% light transmittance at wavelength 600 nm with concentration of said modified polygalactomannan equal to 0.2 wt % with respect to the weight of the surfactant composition. Said surfactant system contains 12 wt % sodium laureth sulphate/2 wt % cocamidopropyl betaine/1 wt % sodium chloride. The invention also discloses versions of the method of producing said modified polygalactomannan and versions of a personal hygiene or household chemical composition with said polygalactomannan.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a personal hygiene or household chemical composition with the disclosed modified polygalactomannan, which is characterised by improved conditioning properties, clarity and an aesthetic appearance.
