FIELD: hygiene.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to compositions for personal care, namely to the use of nonionic hydrophobically modified polysaccharides in personal care compositions. A personal care composition for conditioning a substrate selected from the group consisting of skin, hair, teeth and mucous membranes comprises an aqueous solution comprising: a) a surfactant comprising several hydrophobic chains selected from the group consisting of dioctylsulfosuccinates, dicocodimethylammonium chloride, dipalmitoylethyl hydroxyethylammonium methosulfate and dialkylammonium methosulfate, and one sulfate-free surfactant containing one hydrophobic chain; b) one functional system active ingredient for personal care; and c) a non-ionic hydrophobically modified cellulose ether. Also methods for conditioning a substrate selected from the group consisting of skin, hair, teeth and mucous membranes are disclosed.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides improved conditioning performance on keratin substrates for hydrophobically modified celluloses delivered from aqueous compositions.
