FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to structure of wires for overhead transmission lines and electric mains. The wire comprises stranded conductor consisting of wires, where at least three wires are complete with load-bearing element placed inside each of these wires and made as a long rod of continuous reinforced composite material with thermohardening polymer matrix, at that connection of the load-bearing element and current-conducting part of the wire is permanent. The wire manufacturing method includes reinforcing fibre winding off from the coils, impregnating with polymer binding agent, hardening of binding agent, winding of manufactured wire on coils of the twister, twisting of wires into the cable wire at the twister and winding of the ready wire to a take-up drum, at that upon reinforcing fibre winding off from the coils the resultant harness is drawn into a metal pipe, harness of reinforcing fibres is impregnated and/or wetted with polymer binding agent directly in a metal pipe, the cable wire profile is shaped, at that formation is made at drawing of the metal pipe through dies of drawing bench.
EFFECT: invention allows manufacturing of the wires with improved mechanical strength and low thermal-expansion coefficient.
