FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used as load-bearing cables and bearing elements in structures of wires and cables intended to be suspended on supports of overhead transmission and communication lines and for fixed installation. Composite bearing element is made from a thermosetting polymer binder continuously reinforced with basalt fibers, the volume fraction of which in the binder makes 60-80 %. Binder is modified with carbon nanotubes, the concentration of which is 4.0-10.0 wt%.
EFFECT: invention provides creation of a composite bearing element with prolonged life at higher temperatures and the effect of bending loads.
