FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in strand wires and cables for overhead transmission lines and electrified transport lines. Conductor (1) of metal conducting material (2) contains a strengthening composite core (3) from nano-modified thermosetting polymer binder (4), modified by carbon nanotubes, with concentration equal to 4.0-10.0 wt%, and continuously reinforced by basalt fibre (5) with a degree of volumetric filling of 60-80 %. Multilayer carbon nanotubes "Taunite" are used as carbon nanotubes, epoxy resin is used as thermosetting polymer binder, copper and/or aluminium, or their alloys are used as metal conducting material.
EFFECT: invention ensures increased durability at higher temperatures and action of bending loads.
