FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: sensitive elements composed by round transducers are arranged orthogonally one after another at the cylindrical case axis made of sound reflecting material and communicated with its surfaces via the hollow channels. Cross-section of the latter smoothly varies from round nearby sensitive element to rectangular nearby the case surface without decrease in cross-section area. Axes of said channels in appropriate sensitive elements are directed toward each other to make channels outlets be located in perpendicular planes relative to the case axis and to the point thereat located between the centres of both sensitive elements.
EFFECT: better protection against flowover noise, hence, decreased direction finding errors.
