FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of removing hydrogen sulphide, sulphides and oil products from water includes the following: mixing contaminated water with a coagulant and sulphuric acid and treating in a reactor with oxygen or an oxygen-containing gas; feeding oxygen into the reactor in a stoichiometric amount with respect to the oxidised contaminants; separating the solid oxidation product containing colloidal sulphur; dehydrating the solid oxidation product and feeding the dehydrated colloidal sulphur to produce sulphuric acid; returning the obtained sulphuric acid into the cycle to the step of mixing with the initial contaminated water.
EFFECT: high degree of purity.
