FIELD: ecology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for cleaning industrial enterprises natural and waste water of hydrogen sulphide, sulphides ions and hydrosulphides. Method involves treatment of initial water with iron compounds with their subsequent recovery with acid. As iron compounds aqueous solutions of iron sulphate are added in volume and concentration sufficient for formation of iron sulphide from hydrogen sulphide, sulphides ions and hydrosulphides contained in source water. Regeneration of iron compounds is conducted with iron sulphide, separated from purified water, sulphuric acid or its aqueous solution to form iron sulphate and gaseous hydrogen sulphide, which is removed to obtain sulphuric acid used in processing of iron sulphide. Obtained iron sulphate in form of aqueous solution is directed for processing of next portion of purifying water. Invention enables to purify water to trace amounts of contaminants, wherein due to cyclic process return to cycle of cleaning to 95.7 % of iron sulphate is implemented, as well as there are no gaseous emissions of hydrogen sulphide to be recycled and processed.
