FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the machine building, and more exactly to transmission or conveyor chain. The chain is made out of shaped elements (1), that are connected in series with each other at connecting points (4, 5) in the connecting parts (1b) located at their opposite ends using the connecting pins. The chain is driven by the drive that contains at least one chain wheel, in particular drive wheel or rotating wheel. Deviation of the central line (s) determined by successive connecting pins of the chain from the radius (R; R', R") of curvature of the support surface of the drive wheel and/or rotating wheel (7a, 7b), when the chain is bent around the drive wheel and/or rotating wheel is minimized due to use of the shaped elements (1; 1'), that have connecting parts (1'b) installed at angle (a) to the central line (s).
