SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a crystalline β-modification of 4-[4-({[4-chloro-3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]carbamoyl}amino)phenoxy]-N-methyl-pyridine-2-carboxamide of p-toluene sulphonate(sorafenib tosylate), a method for production thereof and use thereof to prepare a pharmaceutical composition, which can be used as a selective protein kinase inhibitor for treating hepatocellular carcinoma and renal cell carcinoma in humans.

EFFECT: disclosed β-modification of sorafenib tosylate has high biological activity compared to sorafenib tosylate form II.
