SUBSTANCE: method for producing bone-cement spacer involves using cement containing an antibiotic with the above antibiotic is introduced in the crystalline forms after mixing liquid and powder components of the bone cement, and immediately after bone cement batching, the antibiotic crystals are introduced uniformly over the whole mix surface.
EFFECT: method enables providing the more effective rebound of the antibiotic as a part of the spacer cement by increasing bone cement porosity.
