FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, purulent surgery, and can be used in the complex of surgical treatment of deep periprosthetic infection of the hip joint in the presence of a periprosthetic fracture. Surgical access to the hip joint is performed and the head of the hip joint endoprosthesis, the femoral component, then the acetabular endoprosthesis component and other existing metal structures in the area of the infectious process are removed. Then, a revision of the femoral fracture is performed, the interosseous interposition of soft tissues is eliminated, the wound is washed with an antiseptic solution, and a device is installed - an articulating antibacterial spacer of the hip joint with distal blocking. The articulating antibacterial hip spacer with distal locking consists of a cup, a metal head, a body and a shaft. The cup is made intraoperatively from bone cement saturated with thermostable antibiotics, and the head, body and stem with a tip are made of stainless medical steel. The body has a neck with a cone for fixing the endoprosthesis head and a shoulder with a threaded hole for fixing with an intramedullary nail.
EFFECT: inventions group makes it possible to reduce the likelihood of infection recurrence by increasing the active area of the antibacterial effect of the spacer, to increase the stability of fixation of a periprosthetic fracture due to distal blocking of the nail, to improve the patient's quality of life by maintaining the range of motion in the hip joint and preventing hip dislocation due to surface articulation.
