FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: device for generation and frequency modulation of high-frequency signals consists of a constant voltage source and a low-frequency control signal, a feed-forward path from a three-pole non-linear element and a four-pole circuit, a load and an external feedback path; with that, the feed-forward path is made of a complex four-pole circuit and a three-pole non-linear element, which are cascade connected; the load is made in the form of the first bipole with complex resistance; an arbitrary complex four-pole circuit connected to the feed-forward path as per a series-parallel scheme is used as an external feedback path; the feed-forward path and the feedback path as a single node are connected between the second introduced bipole with complex resistance simulating the resistance of the signal source of a generator and a frequency modulator in an amplification mode and the load; imaginary components of the first and the second bipoles with complex resistances z_ln and z_0n are made of a parallel oscillating circuit with parameters L_1k, C_1k, which is connected in series with inductance L_0k.

EFFECT: generation and frequency modulation of a high-frequency signal with an increased linear section of a frequency modulation characteristic at use of one non-linear element.
