FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas optical detectors and identifiers and can be used for high-quality analysis of molecular gas composition, as an optoelectronic identifier for detection of toxic gases, control over food quality, monitoring of environments and prevention of deceases of respiratory system. Claimed device comprises the IR wideband radiation source, optical waveguide with several hollow waveguide channels, each being surrounded with photon-crystalline shell composed of several plies of microcapillaries, and IR radiation intensity registration system. Note here that the data on composition of analysed gas filling said waveguide channels is output as a unique multi-digit binary code.
EFFECT: detection and identification at gases of higher selectivity, lower costs.
