FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to agriculture and biotechnology, namely to a composition of a feed additive with probiotic activity and may be used in producing feed for farm animals and poultry. The feed additive consists of viable spores of spore-forming bacteria of the strain Bacillus subtilis and a filling agent. The spore-forming bacterial strain is the bacterial strain Bacillus subtilis 111 deposited in Russian National Collection of Microorganisms of G.K. Skryabin Institute of Microorganism Biochemistry and Physiology of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IBFM RAN) under registration No VKM B-2334 D, stored in Collection of Microorganisms of BIOTROF, OOO and consisting of viable spores of the spore-forming bacteria Bacillus subtilis 111 with a titre of 2·106-6·109 CFU/g. The filling agent is diatomite burnt crumb. The viable spores of the spore-forming bacteria Bacillus subtilis 111 and diatomite burnt crumb are taken in mass ratio 1:10 respectively. The feed additive as a part of feed is taken in ratio 0.001:1.

EFFECT: feeding of the feed additive provides higher feed accessibility, inhibits pathogen growth and promotes formation of an alimentary beneficial microflora, ensures higher productivity of farm animals and poultry.
